Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Criminal Justice Social Worker to join our team and play a vital role in supporting individuals who are navigating the challenges of the criminal justice system. As a key member of our service, you will conduct assessments, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support to help clients reintegrate into society successfully.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments to identify factors impacting clients' reintegration.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary to protect client welfare.
• Advocate for policy changes that benefit clients and their communities.
• Develop educational materials to assist clients in understanding their rights.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote social justice.
• Monitor legislative changes affecting social work practices.
• Prepare case reports for court appearances as needed.
• Facilitate workshops that educate clients on life skills and rehabilitation strategies.
• Foster relationships with local organisations to enhance client support networks.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology
• Master's degree in Social Work or relevant specialisation is preferred

Experience

• At least 3 years' experience in social work with a focus on criminal justice
