We are searching for a passionate Youth Worker to join our team in Liverpool. As a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young individuals and their families through various challenges. Your work will involve creating engaging programmes, providing mentorship, and facilitating safe environments for personal growth.

Job Responsibilities
  • Create and implement outreach initiatives to engage young people in the community.
  • Assist in the evaluation of programme effectiveness and suggest improvements.
  • Act as an advocate for young people and promote their needs within the community.
  • Work alongside schools to support at-risk students.
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses and organisations for resource sharing.
  • Facilitate group sessions aimed at fostering teamwork and communication skills.
  • Organise recreational activities to boost confidence and social skills.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies are adhered to in all activities.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Social Work, Youth Work, or related field
  • Relevant certifications in Youth Work are advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills Ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Program development Experienced in creating programmes that address youth needs.
  • Empathy Strong capability to understand and share the feelings of others.
  • Teamwork Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Recognised Youth Work Qualification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Bilingual skills (e.g., Welsh or Arabic): Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus.
  • Prior experience in community organising: Experience in mobilising community resources for youth initiatives.
