Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Sports Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide legal advice, negotiate contracts, and manage disputes within the sports industry.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on sports-related legal matters and provide expert legal representation.
• Negotiate and draft contracts, including endorsement deals, athlete/team contracts, and sponsorship agreements.
• Handle legal disputes and represent clients in arbitration and litigation.
• Assist clients in managing and protecting their intellectual property rights.
• Stay updated on current sports laws, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
• Provide strategic guidance regarding risk management and compliance.
• Collaborate with agents, clubs, and sports organizations.
• Research and analyse legal issues affecting the sports industry.
• Conduct due diligence and perform legal research for acquisitions or investments in the sports sector.
• Keep accurate records and documentation of all legal activities.

Requirements

Education

• Law degree from a recognized institution

Experience

• Experience working with professional sports teams or athletes preferred

Technical Skills

• Ability to handle legal disputes effectively
• Knowledge of legal software and research tools

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Certifications

• Membership in relevant professional sports law associations

Languages

• English: Fluent
