Job Description

We are currently searching for a skilled Punch Machine Operator to join our production team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining punch machines, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety standards. This role is crucial in helping us maintain our high-quality manufacturing standards, where attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are key.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed to ensure efficiency.
• Record output and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines while operating machines.
• Work collaboratively with other operators to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure reliability.
• Assist with other production tasks as needed.
• Keep workstation and surrounding area tidy and organized.
• Adhere to deadlines and production schedules.
• Engage in proactive problem-solving and maintenance of machine-related issues.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant vocational training or certification is preferred

Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
