Operating Power Plant Combustion Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Power Plant Combustion Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our power plant combustion processes, maintaining high standards of performance and working closely with other engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain combustion systems of the power plant.
• Identify and troubleshoot combustion system issues.
• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on combustion systems.
• Work with other departments to ensure optimum plant performance.
• Implement and maintain safety and environmental protocols.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a power plant environment

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering: Preferred qualification for advanced technical roles.
• Experience with combined-cycle power plants: Valuable experience for optimising performance.
• Familiarity with fuels other than natural gas: Knowledge of alternative fuel systems is an asset.
