Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Timber Buyer to join our team. The role involves sourcing and purchasing quality timber products for our company, ensuring competitive prices and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing.
• Lead market research initiatives to identify new timber sources.
• Work closely with logistics teams to ensure efficient delivery schedules.
• Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers for long-term partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and legal regulations in timber sourcing.
• Provide forecasts and budget recommendations related to timber supply.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Forestry or related field is preferred

Experience

• Experience in international timber sourcing is an advantage
