Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dinkey Engine Firer to operate and maintain dinkey engines on our railway network. This role ensures the safe operation of engines, and the successful candidate will play a vital role in our efficient transportation system.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-ride inspections of engines to ensure readiness.
  • Collaborate with train crews and signal operators for efficient scheduling.
  • Document any incidents or mechanical issues and report them promptly.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on engines.
  • Observe all safety protocols for both personnel and equipment.
  • Engage in continuous learning about railway safety and technology.
  • Assist in training junior staff members as required.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience working in the railway or transportation industry is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Ability to operate machinery and tools
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations

Languages
  • English: Fluent
