Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Public Safety Telecommunicators to manage emergency communications for our community. The ideal candidates will possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to remain calm under pressure, playing a vital role in connecting the public with emergency services.

Responsibilities

  • Field emergency calls and provide vital information while dispatching the appropriate units.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and medical teams to ensure effective communication.
  • Monitor emergency incidents and dispatch resources as needed.
  • Prepare reports for management on the flow and nature of communications received.
  • Ensure that emergency equipment and software are functioning correctly.
  • Contribute to team discussions on improving communication processes.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
Experience
  • Previous experience in emergency services or public safety communications is highly preferred.
