Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Public Health Advisor to support local health initiatives in Middlesbrough. The role involves working closely with diverse communities to promote health education, assess public health needs, and develop strategies to address health disparities.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of strategic public health plans at local and regional levels.
• Collect and analyse epidemiological data to inform public health recommendations.
• Engage with local residents to understand health behaviours and barriers.
• Create informative materials and resources for community distribution.
• Present findings and recommendations to health boards and community groups.
• Assist in navigating public health regulations and compliance.
• Encourage community participation in public health decision-making processes.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or related field
• Masters in Public Health (MPH) preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant public health experience

• Health Programme Evaluation

Certifications

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
• Certified in Public Health (CPH)

Languages
