Job Description

Join our team as a Shot Crew Helper, where your responsibilities will include assisting shot crew members in operating blasting equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and setup of blasting sites according to project requirements.
• Handle explosives under the direct supervision of trained personnel.
• Support all aspects of blasting operations as directed.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of explosive materials.
• Perform general maintenance of equipment and machinery.
• Keep the work environment clean and organized.
• Maintain communication with team members throughout the operations.
• Actively participate in training to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Assist with the ordering of supplies and materials as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Basic understanding of construction processes preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in shot blasting or similar roles advantageous

Technical Skills

• Experience operating material handling equipment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Soft Skills

• Flexibility and adaptability
• Problem-solving skills

Certifications

• Health and Safety training certificate preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in manufacturing or construction roles: Experience with heavy machinery or similar operations.
• Experience operating material handling equipment: Previous work with forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar machinery.
