Job Description

The Oil Movements Operator will be responsible for overseeing the movement and storage of oil within a designated facility, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. You will play a critical role in the safe loading and unloading of oil tankers and storage vessels, maintaining accurate records, and implementing strict safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations during oil loading and unloading operations.
• Efficiently manage workflow to optimize oil movement processes.
• Utilise software to track and document all oil movement activities.
• Conduct ongoing risk assessments and implement safety improvements.
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels and reporting discrepancies.
• Engage in health and safety meetings to ensure best practices are maintained.
• Provide clear instructions and support to junior operators on site.
• Regularly evaluate operational procedures for potential improvements.
• Report any mechanical issues to maintenance for prompt repair.
• Support emergency drills and spill response strategies.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in health and safety

Experience

• Familiarity with industry-standard practices and equipment is advantageous.
