Concrete Estimator

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Concrete Estimator to join our team. The Concrete Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating material, labor, and equipment costs for concrete construction projects. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive and precise estimates for concrete work based on detailed project specifications.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and adjust estimates accordingly.
• Assess market trends to ensure competitive pricing of materials and subcontractor services.
• Keep abreast of changes in building codes and regulations affecting cost estimation.
• Provide support and training to junior staff in the estimating department.
• Collaborate on post-project analysis for continuous improvement in estimating practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Experience

• At least 3 years' experience in construction estimating, with a focus on concrete projects

• Bluebeam Revu
• Quantitative Analysis

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Estimating
• CSCS Card Holder

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Professional certification in estimating: Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of sustainable construction practices: Experience with eco-friendly building techniques is a plus.
