Job Description

As an Animal Care Giver (ACG), you will provide essential care for animals across various settings, ensuring they receive proper feeding, grooming, and medical treatment. This role is ideal for compassionate individuals who are devoted to improving the lives of animals and can work effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning.
  • Monitor the health and behaviour of animals and report any concerns.
  • Assist with medical treatments and administer medications as directed by veterinarians.
  • Ensure that animal shelters are clean, safe, and organised.
  • Interact with animals and provide enrichment activities to promote their socialization and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of each animal in our care.
  • Adhere to all animal care and welfare guidelines and protocols.
  • Assist with adoption events and provide guidance to potential adopters.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate or diploma in Animal Care
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
Experience
  • No experience required, but experience in animal care or related field is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of animal welfare and behaviour
Soft Skills
  • Attention to detail

Certifications
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Valid driver's license
Languages
  • English: Fluent
