An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our passionate team in Leeds. You will play a crucial role in delivering high standards of care to our furry friends while supporting our veterinarians. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures, conducting health checks, and providing post-operative care. This position is ideal for someone who is dedicated to animal welfare and has a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in diagnostics and treatment plans.
  • Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures.
  • Maintain stock levels of medications and supplies.
  • Keep abreast of new veterinary techniques and advances in the field.
  • Engage with local pet owners to build relationships and trust.
  • Collaborate with other veterinary professionals for referrals.
  • Provide first aid to injured pets as necessary.
  • Participate in training sessions for new staff and interns.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by promoting teamwork.

Requirements

Education
  • Veterinary Nursing degree or equivalent qualification
  • Specialized training in emergency care preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
