Job Description

As a Mechanical Shovel Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining mechanical shovels to move heavy materials such as earth and gravel. This role requires precision and an unwavering commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Skillfully operate shovels for material excavation and transport.
• Conduct regular inspections and repairs to ensure equipment safety.
• Document operational data and maintain logs for management.
• Collaborate closely with site management and other operators.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues as they arise.
• Train junior operators on proper equipment handling and safety measures.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating mechanical shovels.
