Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our passionate team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary practice and a deep commitment to animal care. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and collaborating with our veterinary team to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to diagnose and treat health issues.
• Carry out surgical procedures and post-operative follow-up care.
• Advise clients on animal health, nutrition, and preventative care.
• Maintain and update medical records for all patients.
• Oversee and guide the training of veterinary support staff.
• Engage in veterinary research and continuous professional development.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the practice.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Postgraduate qualifications in veterinary surgery desired

Experience

• 4+ years of clinical veterinary experience

Technical Skills

• Emergency care
• Anesthesia administration

• Problem-solving
• Client education

Certifications

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Advanced Veterinary Practice Certification preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
