Job Description

As a Ceramic Research Engineer, you will conduct innovative research and development activities focused on enhancing ceramic materials. You will be integral in designing new products and optimising existing processes, all while working closely with a dynamic R&D team.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and conduct experiments to enhance the mechanical properties of ceramics.
  • Work closely with engineers to integrate ceramic components into larger systems.
  • Analyse complex data and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop new testing protocols for ceramic resilience and durability.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide training on ceramic processes.
  • Contribute to grant proposals and funding applications for research projects.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Continuously improve bench tests for product development.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source the best materials for research.
  • Document and archive project results for future reference.

Requirements

Education
  • Ph.D. in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field
Experience
  • Experience in ceramic materials synthesis, characterization, and testing.
