Rehabilitation Counselor

Job Description

As a Rehabilitation Counselor, you will work closely with clients to develop personalized rehabilitation plans that address their unique needs and goals. Your role will involve providing guidance, support, and advocacy to individuals navigating their rehabilitation journey.

Responsibilities

• Identify barriers to client reintegration and develop strategies to overcome them.
• Implement best practices in rehabilitation counseling.
• Meet regularly with clients to review and adjust rehabilitation plans.
• Facilitate access to assistive technologies and resources.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Support clients in advocacy for their needs and rights.
• Collaborate in community outreach efforts to promote disability services.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.
• Contribute to program evaluation and quality assurance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Master's degree is highly desirable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working in disability services or rehabilitation
