Job Description

As a Woodworking Machine Setter, you'll operate sanding machines to prepare surfaces for finishing. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the quality of furniture pieces at our Birmingham facility. We are looking for someone with experience in operating woodworking machinery who can follow safety protocols and maintain equipment effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate sanding machines for different types of wood.
  • Carry out routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adjust machinery settings to achieve desired finish quality.
  • Conduct quality checks of sanded surfaces to meet company standards.
  • Assist team members during peak production periods.
  • Document work completed and materials used in production logs.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members to maintain workflow.
  • Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and quality control.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Woodworking or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in woodworking or machine operation.
