Job Description
The House Parent position is key to creating a secure and supportive environment for students. You will manage their daily routines, provide emotional support, and collaborate with parents and staff to ensure a positive boarding experience.
Responsibilities
Oversee the well-being and discipline of students in the boarding house.
Create a welcoming and safe environment for all residents.
Plan and implement structured programmes for student engagement and development.
Work closely with teaching staff and other departments to ensure student success.
Provide support for students in crisis or with specific needs.
Encourage students to engage in social and extracurricular activities.
Manage conflict resolution among students effectively.
Keep up-to-date records of incidents and behaviours as required.
Monitor and report on academic progress and general welfare.
Engage in continuous professional development related to child care and education.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Further qualifications in child development is preferred
Experience
Experience in pastoral care or similar residential positions is advantageous.
