Job Description

We are seeking skilled Paving, Surfacing, and Tamping Equipment Operators to join our team in Birmingham. In this role, you will operate heavy machinery and equipment to lay asphalt and concrete, ensuring the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute paving jobs with precision and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Provide input on design plans where necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for paving techniques.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in ongoing training programs.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in similar roles

Technical Skills

• Concrete Paving Techniques
• Maintenance Skills

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• CPCS Card (Construction Plant Competence Scheme)
• Asphalt and Concrete Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations: Familiarity with the health and safety legislation relevant to construction sites.
• Experience with Traffic Management: Experience in managing traffic flow around construction sites.
