Injection Mold Technician

Job Description

The Injection Mold Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing injection molds used in the production of plastic parts. The ideal candidate will work closely with the production teams to ensure optimal functionality and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on injection molds.
• Identify and resolve issues with mold performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Implement enhancements to improve mold production efficiency.
• Document repair processes and procedures for compliance.
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and quality in the workplace.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production line interruptions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma in a relevant field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in the injection molding industry

Technical Skills

• Understanding of mold design and construction
• Knowledge of hot runner and multi-cavity molds

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Injection Mold Maintenance Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in CAD software: Experience with CAD programs for designing and analyzing molds.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies: Knowledge of methodologies such as Six Sigma for improving production quality.
