Job Description

As a Log Grader and Scaler, you will play a critical role in sourcing and evaluating timber products. Your expertise will ensure that we maintain high-quality standards while meeting production requirements. This role requires a keen knowledge of timber grading and market trends.

Responsibilities

• Assess timber quality by grading and determining market value.
• Sustain strong relationships with timber suppliers and stakeholders.
• Implement compliance checks to ensure all sourcing adheres to current regulations.
• Conduct monthly reviews of supplier performance and market pricing.
• Provide insights into timber market forecasts to guide purchasing decisions.
• Train and mentor junior procurement staff in timber grading and sourcing best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Timber Management, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in timber procurement or a related field
