Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Trucksmith. The ideal candidate will have experience with the repair and maintenance of heavy machinery including diggers, excavators, and trucks. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and performing routine maintenance checks. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, ensuring timely completion.
  • Develop maintenance schedules and perform routine checks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while working with clients on equipment issues.
  • Manage operational costs by maintaining equipment effectively.
  • Collect and analyse data on equipment performance to improve maintenance strategies.

Requirements

Education
  • City & Guilds Qualification in Heavy Vehicle Engineering or equivalent
Experience
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in mobile heavy equipment repair.
