Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Public Health Officer to join our dedicated team in Cardiff. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting health initiatives, analysing health data, and working closely with community partners to implement effective public health strategies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute health promotion campaigns.
• Work with healthcare providers to enhance public health initiatives.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of health programmes.
• Support emergency preparedness and response planning.
• Engage with the community to foster public health awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or Health Promotion
• Relevant Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in community health roles

Certifications

• Certified Health Educator Specialist
• Public Health Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with grant writing: Ability to write proposals for funding public health initiatives.
• Bilingual in Welsh and English: Ability to communicate fluently in both Welsh and English is a plus.
