Job Description

As a GIS Specialist, you will focus on collecting and analysing geographic data, producing high-quality maps, and delivering insights that support strategic initiatives across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Collect and manage spatial data using GIS software.
• Create and update maps based on project requirements.
• Perform spatial analysis to identify patterns and trends.
• Develop GIS applications and tools to automate processes.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot GIS-related issues.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to understand GIS requirements.
• Stay updated on GIS technologies and best practices.
• Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with data management standards.
• Create visual reports and presentations based on geospatial data analysis.
• Train and support team members on GIS tools.

Advantageous

• Experience with remote sensing software: Familiarity with tools such as ERDAS Imagine or ENVI.
• Knowledge of web mapping technologies: Experience with Leaflet or Mapbox for web applications.
