Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our passionate team in Dundee. The successful candidate will utilise clinical expertise to provide psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to diverse clients. You'll play a critical role in improving mental health outcomes and supporting individuals on their path to recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct various psychological tests and assessments.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions based on client needs.
  • Collaborate with other caregivers for integrated care.
  • Document therapeutic processes and outcomes.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and families.
  • Assist in developing wellness programs within the community.
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions.
  • Stay updated on clinical guidelines and codes of practice.
  • Support research initiatives within the department.
  • Engage in self-care practices to manage professional wellbeing.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience in various therapeutic modalities such as CBT or DBT
Technical Skills
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Soft Skills
  • Problem Solving
  • Teamwork
Certifications
  • Registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS)
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care approaches: Understanding of trauma's impact on mental health and how to apply trauma-informed care.
  • Previous outreach experience: Experience in engaging with the community to provide mental health support.
