We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Consultant to join our growing team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity practices, risk management, and incident response, with a strong ability to develop and implement effective security strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage the security architecture of the organisation.
• Develop incident response plans and conduct drills.
• Advise on confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
• Participate in cybersecurity forums and networks to share knowledge.
• Assist in compliance with GDPR and other relevant legislation.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles

Technical Skills

• Penetration Testing
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• GIAC Security Expert (GSE)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Risk Management Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001.
• Experience with Mobile Security: Knowledge of securing mobile applications and devices.
