Job Description

As a Mission Commander, you will be at the forefront of leading and coordinating space missions. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of crew members while successfully achieving mission objectives. You'll work with cross-functional teams to develop mission plans, oversee timelines and budgets, and handle any unexpected challenges that arise.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee mission operations from inception to execution.
  • Ensure the mission's compliance with safety protocols and best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation and reports.
  • Liaise with technical teams to address system malfunctions.
  • Maintain detailed logs of mission parameters and outcomes.
  • Conduct risk assessments prior to mission launches.
  • Evaluate crew performance post-mission to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage logistical support for upcoming missions.
  • Participate in strategy meetings to enhance mission effectiveness.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders and governmental bodies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in space mission planning and execution
