Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Farm Systems Planner to join our dynamic team in Weston-super-Mare. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing effective farming systems that enhance productivity and sustainability. You will work closely with farmers to optimise their operations through innovative practices and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of current farm systems for optimization.
  • Lead the implementation of sustainable farming practices.
  • Train farmers on new technologies and practices.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators for farming systems.
  • Research advancements in agricultural methodologies.
  • Compile and present reports on farm system improvements.
  • Organize community outreach programs to educate on sustainable practices.
  • Assist with grant applications for farmer support programs.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Agricultural Engineering
  • Postgraduate qualifications are desirable
Experience
  • 3-5 years in agricultural consultancy or related fields
