Job Description

As a Pharmacist at Pharmacy UK, you will be a key figure in ensuring the safe and effective use of medication within our community. Your expertise will directly contribute to improved patient outcomes through accurate dispensing, advice on medication use, and patient counselling.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and in compliance with prescription requirements.
• Provide expert advice on prescription and over-the-counter medications to patients.
• Conduct health screenings and promote health and wellness initiatives.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and interactions.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient histories.
• Conduct medication reviews to assess medication efficacy and safety.
• Monitor and manage prescription renewals efficiently.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Registered Pharmacist status with the GPhC

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a community pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Drug Interaction Analysis

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Specialist qualifications in clinical pharmacy: Knowledge in areas such as geriatric or paediatric pharmacy.
• Previous experience in a managerial role is advantageous: Experience in managing pharmacy operations and staff.
