Job Description

As a Roustabout, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing machinery and facilities aboard an offshore oil rig. Working closely with a diverse team, you ensure the efficient operation of the rig while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure operational safety.
• Assist with lifting and rigging operations to support drilling.
• Participate in safety drills and training sessions.
• Assist in inventory management of equipment and supplies.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience on an offshore oil rig is highly advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Heavy machinery operation
• Rigging skills

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Crane Operator Certification
• Forklift Driver Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with drilling operations: Hands-on experience assisting with drilling operations on an oil rig.
• Heavy machinery repair experience: Experience in repairing and maintaining heavy machinery is advantageous.
