Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised Lab Operations Coordinator to oversee laboratory activities in Ipswich. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, manage scheduling, and coordinate resources effectively to support our scientific teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations within the laboratory, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and equipment maintenance.
  • Facilitate effective communication within laboratory teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports on lab performance and resource utilisation.
  • Support the team by troubleshooting any operational issues.
  • Develop and implement lab policies to enhance safety and productivity.
  • Assist with budget management for laboratory resources.
  • Coordinate project timelines with cross-functional teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science, Biological Science, or a related field
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in laboratory operations or management
