We are seeking a dedicated Humanitarian Aid Officer to join our team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in humanitarian work and community engagement, focusing on assessing community needs and implementing effective solutions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess community needs and facilitate outreach to support aid delivery.
  • Create partnerships with local organizations to strengthen community support.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in aid distribution.
  • Develop training materials and conduct workshops for community engagement.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of implemented programs and provide feedback.
  • Report on program status to management and suggest improvements.
  • Build rapport with community members to foster trust and participation.
  • Engage in fundraising activities to support ongoing humanitarian efforts.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, International Relations, or related field
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • Project Management Skilled in managing aid projects from start to finish.
  • Grant Writing Experience in writing successful grant proposals.
  • Data Analysis Able to analyse data for effective decision-making.
  • Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving Strong analytical skills to develop effective solutions.
  • Teamwork Experience working collaboratively in diverse teams.
  • Certification in Humanitarian Response
  • First Aid Certification
  • English (Fluent)
  • French (Basic)
Advantageous
  • Knowledge of emergency response protocols: Experience implementing emergency response plans during crises.
  • Previous experience with NGOs: Background in working with non-governmental organisations focused on humanitarian efforts.
