Job Description

As a Forestry Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of forestry operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while managing a dedicated team. You will coordinate activities such as planting and harvesting, while promoting sustainable practices to enhance the health of our forests.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planting and harvesting operations ensuring environmental standards are met.
• Conduct risk assessments on forest areas to optimize resource allocation.
• Facilitate training workshops for team members on sustainable practices.
• Engage with community stakeholders to foster support for forestry initiatives.
• Develop strategic plans for forest management and conservation.
• Maintain compliance with applicable forestry legislation and guidelines.
• Lead initiatives for community outreach and education on forestry benefits.
• Continuously assess the effectiveness of forestry operations and recommend improvements.
• Develop relationships with local and regional organizations to promote forestry initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Environmental Science is a plus
