Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Bindery Operator to join our team. As a Bindery Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various bindery machines, including folding machines and cutters, ensuring the production of high-quality print materials that meet our specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate bindery machines according to job specifications.
  • Inspect raw materials and supplies to ensure they meet quality expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the production process.
  • Train junior staff on machine operations and safety procedures.
  • Assist with workflow planning to optimize production efficiency.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Document production errors and implement corrective measures.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding production schedules and issues.
  • Participate in team meetings to contribute to process improvements.
  • Maintain records of machine maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating bindery machines and working in a print production environment.

Advantageous

  • Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations: Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
