Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students with various physical, cognitive, and sensory challenges within a school environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to design and implement effective therapy plans that promote student development and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs.
• Provide direct therapy services to students.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Deliver training and support to parents and caregivers.
• Participate in professional development activities.
• Collaborate with teachers to support students' learning and development.
• Maintain a manageable caseload and work independently.
• Utilize assistive technologies and equipment effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy

Experience

• Experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with assistive technologies
• Ability to manage a caseload

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Organizational and time-management skills

Advantageous

• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area: Specialties like sensory integration or autism support are beneficial.
• Experience of mentoring other therapists: Prior experience supervising less experienced occupational therapists.
