As an Import Freight Forwarder, you will coordinate and manage the transportation of goods from international suppliers to the UK. This role demands excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure timely delivery and compliance with import regulations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee customs clearance procedures for inbound freight.
  • Develop strong relationships with international suppliers and transportation partners.
  • Compile reports on import operations and provide insights for strategic improvements.
  • Assist in training junior staff members on import procedures and compliance.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant certifications in freight forwarding are advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills Expertise in managing multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Import regulations knowledge Advanced knowledge of UK import regulations and customs procedures.
  • Document management systems Experience using systems for tracking and managing shipping documents.
  • Excellent communication Able to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-solving Skilled at identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Customer service orientation Committed to providing the highest level of service to clients.
