Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join our London office. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UK tax laws and regulations and be adept at providing tax planning and compliance services. You will work closely with clients to assist them in minimising their taxes legally and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of tax returns to ensure compliance with UK tax laws.
• Conduct risk assessments for clients regarding tax filings.
• Advise clients on VAT and other indirect tax obligations.
• Participate in tax planning initiatives and projects.
• Assist with mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring from a tax perspective.
• Establish effective communication channels with HMRC.
• Prepare reports and documentation needed for tax audits.
• Utilise tax software to streamline filing processes and improve accuracy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications in taxation or finance preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of tax advisory experience

Certifications

• Chartered Accountancy (ACA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
