Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our vibrant Sheffield team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in manufacturing processes and will play a key role in optimizing production efficiency and ensuring product quality.

Responsibilities

• Analyse production metrics and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to assure product quality.
• Implement lean methodologies to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure they meet industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on new systems and procedures.
• Create detailed reports on manufacturing performance and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering

Technical Skills

• Quality Control
• SolidWorks

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership

Certifications

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of automation technologies: Understanding of automation solutions in manufacturing processes.
• Experience in new product introduction (NPI): Participated in launching new products into the manufacturing environment.
