Plating Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Plating Machine Setter and Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining matrix plating equipment, ensuring high-quality plating results while following safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of plating techniques and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate plating equipment while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Work closely with the quality control team to monitor the quality of the plating process.
• Conduct inspections of plated items for defects and perform necessary touch-ups.
• Mix plating solutions according to established formulas.
• Document all production activities, including process parameters and chemical usage.
• Assist in maintaining stock levels of plating materials and chemicals.
• Adapt to changes in production schedules and tasks as required.
• Train new employees on plating techniques and safety procedures.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant vocational training or certifications preferred

Experience

• Experience in quality control procedures is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of plating solutions
• Technical drawing interpretation

Certifications

• Health and Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a supervisory role: Ability to lead and train junior operators.
• Proficiency in data management software: Experience with software used for tracking plating processes.
