Job Description

As a Bus and Truck Mechanic, you’ll carry out inspections, repairs, and maintenance on various trucks and buses to keep them operating efficiently. You will need to diagnose mechanical issues, conduct tune-ups, and replace faulty parts to ensure our fleet remains in optimal condition.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and diagnose issues on commercial vehicles to determine necessary repairs.
  • Carry out major repairs and overhauls on diesel engines.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed in all maintenance activities.
  • Train junior mechanics and apprentices in best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
  • Manage parts and inventory for all maintenance tasks.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of an apprenticeship or previous experience as a Truck Tune-Up Mechanic
Experience
  • Experience with a variety of truck makes and models.
Technical Skills
  • Welding and fabrication abilities
  • Understanding of emission control systems
Soft Skills
  • Analytical mindset
  • Team player
Certifications
  • Experience with hybrid or electric truck systems
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience with truck refrigeration systems: Knowledge of refrigeration systems used in commercial trucks.
  • Proficiency in using parts ordering systems: Familiarity with digital platforms for managing inventory.
