Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mining Excavator Operator to join our team in Birmingham. Your primary duty will involve operating heavy-duty excavators to extract minerals and ores from the earth, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Utilise heavy machinery to efficiently extract minerals from the earth.
• Conduct safety inspections before operations to verify equipment integrity.
• Work as part of a team to achieve site production goals.
• Implement safety measures and protocols to protect yourself and colleagues.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on excavators and other equipment.
• Provide training and oversight for junior operators.
• Participate in active site safety audits and inspections.
• Maintain clear and detailed logs of machine operation and maintenance.

Requirements

Education

• Vocational training in heavy equipment operation or related field

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in excavator operation within the mining sector.
