Job Description

As a Saddle Maker at Saddle Craft Co., you will be tasked with creating high-quality, custom saddles for a diverse clientele. This role requires a keen understanding of equine anatomy, as well as proficiency in working with various materials such as leather and synthetic fabrics.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow customer orders to create bespoke saddles.
• Handle various materials including leather, suede, and synthetics proficiently.
• Repair and refurbish existing saddles ensuring durability and comfort.
• Participate in team meetings to share ideas and improve processes.
• Utilize tools such as sewing machines, leather-cutting tools, and hand-stitching tools effectively.
• Provide mentorship to apprentices in saddle making techniques.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Formal apprenticeship in saddle making preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in saddle making or leather crafting.

Technical Skills

Languages
