Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tier and Detonator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of explosives in construction and mining operations. This includes planning and executing blasting operations while adhering to strict safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team members to safely detonate explosive charges.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of all explosives and detonations.
• Provide technical advice on the use of explosives and blasting techniques.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations.
• Train new staff on safe handling and operational procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Full UK driving licence

Experience

• Experience with underground blasting operations is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of electronic detonation systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents

Soft Skills

• Good time management and organizational skills

Certifications

• Experience with drill and blast design
• Experience with quarrying operations

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with drill and blast design and quarrying operations: Hands-on experience in planning and executing successful blasting operations in various terrains.
