As an Ophthalmic Laboratory Technician, you'll play a vital role in polishing optical components to meet specific customer requirements and specifications. We seek a detail-oriented individual experienced in using polishing machines and ensuring product quality.

Job Responsibilities
  • Produce precision lenses by polishing and finishing optical components.
  • Inspect lenses for quality assurance and defects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the production team.
  • Participate in cross-training on other manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist supervisors with inventory management and quality control.
  • Report any operational issues promptly for resolution.
  • Support initiatives for health and safety compliance.
  • Provide feedback on production processes and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with Optical Engineers during new product development.
  • Engage in ongoing training for skill enhancement.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Training in optical manufacturing preferred
  • Manual Dexterity Ability to perform tasks requiring precision and manual skill.
  • Attention to Detail High level of accuracy and attention in manufacturing processes.
  • Technical Drawing Interpretation Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Problem-solving Excellent problem-solving skills for manufacturing challenges.
  • Team Collaboration Strong ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Communication Good communication skills to liaise with team members and supervisors.
  • Certification in Optical Techniques
  • English (Fluent)

  • Background in optical design: Familiarity with the fundamentals of optical design and fabrication.
