Job Description

As a Biological Technician, you will implement and monitor artificial breeding programmes in livestock, ensuring the highest standards of animal health and productivity. The role requires collaboration with veterinarians to achieve breeding targets and contribute to genetic improvement plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the artificial insemination process, ensuring the highest quality standards.
• Create and maintain comprehensive records of breeding protocols and results.
• Support the reproductive health of livestock through regular health assessments.
• Work with the breeding team to refine breeding strategies and techniques.
• Train and supervise farm staff on artificial breeding techniques.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Conduct laboratory procedures related to semen analysis and embryo manipulation.

Requirements

Education

• Higher Education in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry

Experience

• Previous experience in livestock management or equivalent role is highly desirable.
