Event Planner

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Event Planner to join our team in Aberystwyth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, vendor management, and logistics coordination. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision and ensure every detail is executed flawlessly.

Responsibilities

• Design event layouts and manage logistics to create unique experiences.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the planning process.
• Work closely with the creative team to develop event themes and branding.
• Track event metrics and KPIs to assess the success of events.
• Provide leadership to event staff during execution.
• Manage timelines and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits to venues and provide recommendations.
• Facilitate meetings with clients to ensure their vision is met.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Hospitality Management or Event Planning
• Certification in Event Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the events industry

Technical Skills

• Event Design
• Risk Management

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Customer Service

Certifications

• Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in additional languages: Ability to communicate in languages other than English is advantageous.
• Experience in non-profit event planning: Knowledge of fundraising events and community outreach.
