Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Volunteer Coordinator to manage our volunteer programs in Edinburgh. This role involves recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers while ensuring smooth operations of various community projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community service and experience in program coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to recruit and retain volunteers across different community sectors.
  • Design engaging training sessions to enhance volunteer experiences.
  • Ensure effective communication between volunteers and the organisation.
  • Monitor and report on the impact of volunteer contributions.
  • Cultivate partnerships with local businesses and civic organisations.
  • Develop and distribute promotional materials for volunteer programs.
  • Foster an inclusive environment for all volunteers.
  • Utilise performance metrics to assess volunteer program effectiveness.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or similar
Experience
  • 3+ years in volunteer program development and management
