Cement Mason and Concrete Finisher

Job Description

As a Cement Mason and Concrete Finisher, you will be pivotal in finishing wet concrete surfaces using various tools and techniques. Your work will ensure that surfaces are smooth, level, and meet safety and quality standards across a variety of projects including bridges and buildings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by ensuring they are clean and free of debris.
• Footage and mark out areas for new concrete to be poured.
• Assist in mixing and pouring concrete when necessary.
• Ensure that all safety measures are adhered to during operations.
• Report any potential hazards or issues to the Site Manager immediately.

Requirements

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in concrete finishing or the construction industry

Technical Skills

• Concrete Finishing Tools
• Blueprint Interpretation

Certifications

• CSCS Card

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Decorative Finishing Techniques: Experience with techniques for creating decorative finishes on concrete.
• Experience with Heavy Machinery: Familiarity with operating machinery such as concrete mixers and compactors.
